Addicted to Smoking

When I started smoking cigarettes years ago my family and friends said, "It's the most difficult thing in the world to quit, you'd better now start?"
Did I listen? No! I loved smoking. I thoroughly enjoyed it for 28 years. It was always there when I was lonely, sad, happy.....well, I had a reason to smoke for any occasion.

So I played the game of cutting back and counting how many I had...and it actually worked! I went from smoking 2 packes a day down to 7 a day for years. But my lungs still were kind of tight and I hated it, but did I quit those 7? No. I looked forward to it. Then....I got down to 2 a day for years and I never once had 3 cigarettes in a day. I was strong! I could control my addiction.

Did I quit? Well, next post........
